There is a grand total of eight characters available to play in Apex Legends, six of the eight are playable the other two are locked. You can either grind the game out to unlock them or pay and skip the hard work.

BLOODHOUND

As far as we know the identity of Bloodhound is unknown. Rumors are the crow-clad hunter was greatly wealthy compared to living the life of a slave in his past life. He functions as the ‘tracker’ character in Apex Legends. Bloodhound’s skills focus on being able to pinpoint enemies locations through structures and track the footsteps.

LIFELINE

Lifeline focuses on providing support for your other two teammates and out of a squad of three its always good to have a medic on your team.

Apex Legends – LifeLine Skill Set

Passive Ability – Combat Medic: revive you’re knocked down teammates faster while being protected by a shield dome. You can also use healing items 25% faster.

Tactical Ability – DOC Heal Drone: Deploys a flying drone that heals you/teammates. NOTE: Everyone has to be near the drone in order to heal.

Ultimate Ability – Care Package: Care package that drops down full of defensive equipment.

GIBRALTAR

Gibraltar is the main defense hero in Apex Legends. He’s known as the wild, but gentle giant, his father lost an arm saving him and his boyfriend from mudslide after they both stoled his motorcycle and went on a joy ride. His passive ability to be able to use a shield when aiming down sights means you can always take on your enemies.

Tactical Ability – Dome of Protection: Deploys a dome shield that protects you from incoming attacks for 15 secs.

WRAITH

We don’t know much about the mysterious Wraith, she is more on the experimental side when it comes to heroes in Apex Legends. she woke up in a detention facility years ago then she started to hear voices in her head. Once she started listening to those voices, she acquired powers that allow her to jump between dimensions.

PATHFINDER

Pathfinder is over a decade old, He was booted on in an abandoned laboratory and has been on a mission to find his creator ever since. Even thought Pathfinder is classified as a medic, It has more in common with the scouting ability of Bloodhound.

Tactical Ability – Grappling Hook: Grapple up structures getting to higher vantage points quicker.

Locked Apex Legends

MIRAGE

Elliot Witt is someone who likes to out-Witt his opponents. Having the power to be able to deceive enemy teams, by deploying holographic decoys.

Passive Ability – Encore! : Automatically deploy a decoy and become cloaked for 5 seconds, whenever you get downed.

Tactical Ability – Psyche Out: Send out a decoy of yourself to confuse your enemies.

Ultimate Ability – Vanishing Act: Just like magic you can become cloaked, and send out a team of decoys.

How to unlock – Costs 12000 Legend Tokens or 750 Apex Coins.

CAUSTIC

A scientist named Alexander Nox once worked for the Frontier’s leading pesticide gas manufacturer, he would be changed forever thought after he decided to test a more powerful formula on himself. Caustic’s abilities focus on the use of poisonous gas, which can slowly chip away at his enemies.

Passive Ability – Nox Vision: He can see all enemies that pass through his deployed gas.

Tactical Ability – Nox Gas Trap: Place up to six gas canisters. They will be triggered when shot or when enemies walk through them.
